AI-Driven Biomanufacturing: From Predictive Model to Adaptive Shop
Floor Ecosystem

Dr. Hadj Latreche
Abstract

Variability in titer and critical quality attributes (CQAs) remains a significant challenge in biomanufacturing, leading to fluctuating production costs, product write-offs, and unpredictable supply capacity. Predicting titer and CQAs enables the identification and control of key process drivers, paving the way for consistent “golden batch” production.

However, realizing this potential demands a radical shift in ways of working—moving from siloed functions to a fully integrated, cross-functional approach. Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Process Experts must collaborate closely across the entire lifecycle, from model development to adaptive process deployment on the shop floor, creating a unified ecosystem that drives smarter, more reliable manufacturing.
